I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casal de Petra, a delightful retreat nestled in the picturesque Mallorcan village of Petra. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene ambiance, rich history, and warm hospitality that this enchanting haven has to offer. The location of Casal de Petra is nothing short of idyllic. Petra is a charming, traditional village that embodies the essence of rural Mallorca. With its narrow, cobblestone streets and beautifully restored sandstone buildings, the village transports you back in time, allowing you to experience the authentic Mallorcan way of life. Surrounded by lush green countryside and with stunning views of the nearby Tramuntana Mountains, the setting is both tranquil and visually captivating. Casal de Petra itself exudes a timeless charm that perfectly complements its surroundings. The property has been thoughtfully restored, with an emphasis on preserving the traditional Mallorcan character, while also incorporating all the comforts and amenities that modern travelers desire. The combination of rustic stone walls, wooden beams, and stylish, understated furnishings creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. One of the highlights of my stay was exploring the local area on foot, taking in the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant local culture. Petra boasts a number of historical sites, including the birthplace of Fray Junipero Serra, the founder of several California missions. The village also offers a selection of cozy cafes and delightful local restaurants, serving up delicious traditional Mallorcan cuisine made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Casal de Petra truly is a hidden gem that encapsulates the beauty, history, and charm of rural Mallorca. I highly recommend this enchanting retreat to anyone seeking a tranquil and authentic experience in the heart of the island.

Perfect for a short stay, right in the middle of town near all the bars and restaurants. shared kitchen had most things you will need (an oven/hob might have been useful but combi microwave did the job) nice pool and pool area. Had to ask a few times about changing the towels (left them in the designated place but they were not changed) however a quick message to the reception and it was very quickly sorted (only changed 5 days a week but didn't say which 5 days!) You can't park outside the hotel but only 2 streets over there is plenty of parking so this is not an issue at all. Very happy with the hotel and happy to recommend this to others.

Beautiful and spacious room, huge hallway with shared kitchen and nice size indoor swimming pool with sun beds, outdoor shower and places to chill. It is located in the centre of the town and few minutes walking distance from square with all the bars and restaurants. There is no parking space, but the host sends suggestions where to leave the car. We felt so welcomed and even though dining area, kitchen and swimming pool are shared we felt like having house just for us. Strongly recommend this place.

Very clean, central location in Petra, professional and efficient communication concerning check in etc. - all in all it was definitely better than I expected. If you are looking for a somewhat impersonal (didn't see any staff), but quiet stay in a room inside an old town house, then this is a good place to be. Kitchen, pool area clean and are an add on. Nice restaurants close by in the town square. By the way I extended my stay.
